Welcome to the last week of Advent devotionals at RPC. This week, we will focus on scriptures that remind us of the gift of joy we receive through our faith. Along with our devotions each day, we invite your household to participate in a weekly activity that will allow us to tangibly share this gift with one another.

WEEK FOUR
ACTIVITY

This week, we invite you to drive around to view
Christmas lights in your area. As you view the lights,
reflect on the joy that the light of Christ brings in our lives.

PRAYER

Holy God, we thank you that when we call on you, you are there. Help us to focus on you and spreading the gift of joy you give us during this Advent season and beyond.
Amen

WEEK THREE
ACTIVITY

This week's activity is to write down the names of the people in your household and draw names. During the week think of an act of love for the person whose name you drew. It could be something that you love to do for others, like drawing a picture for them or baking a special treat for them, or it could be something you know that they love, like cuddling with your mom as you watch her favorite Christmas movie or playing your brother or sister’s favorite game with them. It's a chance to share your love with your family.

WEEK TWO
ACTIVITY

This week's activity is to go on a peace scavenger hunt. Find an object in your home that reminds you of peace. Once you and each member of your household have found an item, place it in a designated place (like on the kitchen counter or in front of the Christmas tree). When you gather, share with one another why you chose your item. For added fun, place your chosen item in the designated spot in secret and have fun guessing who contributed each item.

This week, we invite you to think of someone you know that could use a message of hope. Then make a card for that person with words of hope and encouragement and either deliver or send it to them.
