THE RETELLING OF OUR STORY FROM

JANUARY 2020

THROUGH

MAY 2021

Dear Roswell Presbyterian Church family,

The past two years have thrown most of our lives into major upheaval - life at RPC was no different! When 2020 kicked off, who could imagine that in just over two months, the entire church would be forced to reimagine itself while the world grappled with uncertainty? Well, reimagine it we did. As you’ll see from this Recap, everything from worship to mission outreach to discipleship adapted and re-adapted, and by the grace of God, we forged on with doing the important ministry that God has called us to.

We are still adapting, in fact. While we seek to settle into a new normal, we will always remain mindful of how we, as a church community, kept the faith during such a challenging time in our history. We learned and listened and leaned on each other. I am confident you’ll be encouraged by what you read in this Recap, knowing that God was, and is, always present among us.

Thank you for your prayers, contributions, and ministry over the last two years!

Rev. Jeff Meyers
Senior Pastor

When the world shut down for Covid in early March, our Music & Worship team had to rethink the entire format of worship. With incredible grace under fire, they pivoted to a pre-produced service that captured the elements of worship and the hearts of our members during those early and uncertain days.

  • 44 in-person worship services January through December 2020.
  • 11 Vespers Worship Services In person during the fall of 2020
  • 50 Chancel Choir members

  • 23 music volunteers for the Modern Service
  • 15 Carillons members
  • 40 Virtual Worship Services
  • 411.5 Average views a week for the Traditional Service during the three-week period of doing two pre-recorded services per week.
