FALL 2025 ART EXHIBIT

The theme for this year’s exhibit is: All Are Welcome
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just enjoy expressing yourself through art, we encourage you to share a piece that reflects the theme—exploring what acceptance and community mean to you. The subject of your piece might be an image that demonstrates a feeling of welcome. For example, when you contemplate a sunset, you feel welcomed to enjoy this beautiful world created by God. Another way to approach the theme is to think about the act of creating rather than the image. Perhaps you’ve never entered an art exhibit before, or maybe you feel encouraged to try a new medium or technique. The process of entering this exhibit, rather than the actual subject of your piece, demonstrates how you feel welcomed to take a risk.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY

1. Each submission must have an artist’s statement - Share the inspiration or story behind the work and explain how it relates to the exhibit theme: All Are Welcome. The statement should be at least a paragraph and no longer than four paragraphs. Inclusion of an accompanying scripture passage is optional.

2. A maximum of 3 entries may be submitted per person. You may submit a work you have done in the past. Please ensure that your work is appropriate for a church environment.

3. The Entry Form, the Artist’s Statement, and a digital image of the artwork must be submitted electronically by the deadline, Friday, July 25, 2025.

4. Your entry must be physically delivered to Roswell Presbyterian Church on Sunday, August 3, or Monday, August 4.

Each hanging work must be mounted in a standard frame or presented on a gallery-style canvas. No easel-back table frames are allowed. Hanging works must be ready to hang. The artwork's size may not be larger than 72'' x 48'' and the weight may not exceed 30 lbs.

Screw eyes should be positioned no more than 1/3 down from the top of the frame and have a taut wire run between the screw eyes. If your two-dimensional art is fiber and cannot be framed, please mount it on a dowel with appropriate screw eyes at either end. If your work is three-dimensional, consider providing the base of your choice. All electronic submissions must be finished products. Please be sure your artwork is labeled with your name, contact information, and the work’s title.
