True North VBS: Children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to join us for a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School. VBS will take kids on an unforgettable Alaskan adventure where the northern lights shine over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and sparkling glaciers. As they trek the tundra, they’ll discover how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today.  Guiding them towards Jesus, True North VBS reveals that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!.

Children will learn Bible stories, and participate in fun recreational games, music, and crafts. This event is free! We also need volunteers to help make this week a success.

“Serve Orlando is not just a mission trip organization — through established relationships with our community, we are aware of what they need and can effectively support them by bringing service groups in. Our prayer is that more people would gain a vision for leading a life of servanthood so that they can make a difference in their cities, schools and homes. Orlando is a sought after area for visitors, the underserved people in our city need help and our local service organizations should always have the volunteers and human power they need to serve our neighbors well. We serve leaders by making their service experience easy and structured.”

Montreat Youth Conference affirms youth in their calling to be and to shape the church of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to help youth come to know and believe that they are the beloved of God and to be a place where authenticity, community, connection, and God’s truth thrive. We seek to be an inclusive space where each voice can be heard and where each heart can be molded; where change is invited, challenge is expected, and where all are embraced.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105.  Drawing from the biblical text and our chosen theme Light My Path, this summer we will build an accepting community of unconditional love where every story matters. Through engaging worship, lively music, and practices of gratitude and fun, we will offer youth different opportunities to cultivate their spiritual faith journeys and practice sabbath. We will provide a secure space that is brave, loving, holy, and authentic so that we may glorify God in all that we do, inspiring and equipping a lifetime of faith.

Youth leave Montreat knowing that:
  • Their faith matters.
  • They are loved as they are.
  • They are part of a community of faith.
  • They are empowered to act for change in the world.
